I'm also confused about "Fallen Dragon", it's definitely an older book, and has already had all its releases. Could this be a mis-pasted note about a "Void" release?
@tamahome: Really? Odd. I wonder why. I actually personally found it to be one of the least interesting of his books. Bigger size? Did he go all "STAND" on it, and add 400 pages?
Stephen King is going to be in Manchester, VT? Manchester, VT?
Fuck you, Steve. Fuck you. And fuck you, Vermont. Seems like every month since I've left that once gods-forsaken state has had something increasingly more awesome happen in it.
I hope you all get eaten by carnivorous deer. Hippy carnivorous deer.
As I don't belive there have been any weekly recaps can I just use this moment (as I see there is sadly only one episode this month) to say how awesome the current story arc of Clone Wars has been? Those Geonosians (sp?) were at best pesky in the films, really annoying foes in Battlefronts, but Clone Wars has made them down right mean/scary buggers worthy of a right flamethrower torching. From the Saving Trooper Ryan episode to the Padawans getting stalked in the hive to the half "Aliens" half zombie movie episode I already couldn't wait for a new one but the fact that since the last Comcast finally decided to give me HD Cartoon Network.. WOW really can't wait.
Oh and Venture and Metalocalypse in HD too. life is good.
I really appreciate the amount of work that must go into putting this together every month. It's a service to our community. No kidding. Nice layout, too.
@Chip Overclock: Stephanie really is a marvel. We're so lucky to have her. And Cyriaque, who's researched the last couple of calendars, is fantastic too.
@TheGreat&PowerfulTurtle: Yeah I noticed after I posted that it was part of the wild cards series, which I'm not familiar with. So, if I start with this book, will I be totally lost? Should I start with the first of this "three book arc"?
@J_Frank_Parnell: Honestly depends on how much time you have. The first of the entire series, Wild Cards, is an incredible starter and the best way to begin.
But yes if you want to just dip your toes in the waters, give the first of that three book arc a try. The previous 17 aren't a must if you start there.
Stupid Video Saturday! Conan dubs Anime. Conan and Andy head over to Manga Entertainment to help dub Ghost in the Shell. Needless to say, highjinks ensue. [www.youtube.com]
Also, I caught this on CHUD. An argument for why Twilight: Breaking Dawn must be made into a movie. [chud.com]
If all that ends up on the screen. I'll see it at midnight the first day. Can anyone confirm that this is what actually happens in the book? Pedophile werwolves!?

Oh,
Dear George RR Martin: Your new book sounds great and all, and I will happily read it, but finish A Song of Ice and Fire already, dammit.

GRRM is mostly handling the editing chops on Suicide Kings. It's not his book completely but his and about 10 other authors.
And while it is the 20th book in the series....

...it's the last in a very solid three book arc. The first of that arc, Inside Straight, is a perfect entry for anyone who's curious.
I've already pre-ordered mine. :)
